Position Overview The Sr. Graphic Designer/Web Content Editor works collaboratively with all areas of the Advancement team, especially the Communications team, to align design work with strategic objectives and audience-based research. This position will help drive fundraising and stewardship through advanced professional and skilled technical work involving creative, artistic and graphic designing skills for graphics/media production and online communication and marketing materials. The position reports to the Sr. Director of Advancement Communications. The position works in conjunction with the leaders and staff of UNT’s Division of Advancement. |
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or related field and four years of professional graphic arts work experience in print, video, and/or electronic media production, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Job Duties Participates in the creation and execution of Advancement’s content strategies and makes recommendations for improvement.

Meets with clients to conceptualize design, produces and reviews proofs, and prepares print-ready and digital art.

Conducts visual research on trends related to industry, audience, and university peers. Applies findings to print and digital projects. Suggests ways to incorporate advances into departmental products and processes.

Participates in applying audience-specific research and behavior when planning the concept, hierarchy and design of print and digital projects.

Develops collateral projects from concept to finished product. Participates in all stages of production including bids, specifications, material selection, and approving proofs.

Visually inspects projects and proofs to ensure accuracy, quality and consistency.

Adheres to University graphic and branding standards and assists stakeholders and vendors with the same.

Collaborates on the selection and placement of photos within print and digital projects. Attends photo shoots and acts as a partner to ensure a quality outcome.

Work collaboratively with all units to provide communications materials on, or before, agreed upon deadlines.

Support Advancement’s web content strategy by assisting with content management. |
