What you’ll do
- Work with a team that designs, builds, maintains, and optimizes a real-time, event-driven data platform in AWS
- Ensure proper execution and alignment with data vision and objectives
- Take lead in strategies to acquire, store, process, and transform data across the entire enterprise
- Share your knowledge of data engineering with the rest of your team and mentor application developers in best practices in developing real time data solutions.
- Ensure all systems and processes are fully monitored and metrics captured to analyze system and data pipeline performance
- Design end-to-end solutions to support key business datasets
- Support analysts and data scientists with their data requirements
- Data modelling for production applications
- Contribute to continuous improvement of all data-related platforms and solutions
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
- 8+ years’ experience working in a big data environment
- Expert level understanding of working with massive data sets
- Experience working with data related cloud technologies
- Deep understanding of event-driven and data architectures
- Experience working in a cloud environment
- Experience with IAC and CI/CD processes
- Experience working with open-source technologies
- Experience developing in Python
- Experience using SQL to transform data
- Deep understanding of data governance solutions including security and privacy and how to implement them
- Data modelling experience
