Primary Purpose
Develop, advise, and implement human resources information system (HRIS) strategic solutions in support of company business needs. Provide technical and analytical expertise in the areas of data integrity, advanced report writing, and collecting, interpreting, and summarizing data. Utilize qualitative and quantitative measurement and data collection design principles and draw logical conclusions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Functions as a technical expert regarding Human Resources (HR) information systems to consult, advise, implement strategies, methods, and tactics related to HR data. Consults with business units to understand their needs and challenges and provides strategic decision support through data and analytics. Evaluates data and applies knowledge in quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as data visualization, to create clear and compelling narratives that inform and support business strategies.
- Designs and develops standard and ad-hoc reports from HR and other database systems as required by stakeholders. Responsible for regular updates, changes, and modifications to reports.
- Distills key findings and prepares presentations with appealing data visualizations and meaningful business insights and conclusions, in a concise format.
- Proactively and regularly meets with HR subject matter experts to gather input on complex reporting requirements. Supports the development of dashboards and metrics for HR functions.
- Coordinates with Information Technology (IT) to acquire, extract, transform, manage, and manipulate data. Research and develop procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Business administration, human resources, computer science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and/or technical training.
- 5 years experience with Human Resources management systems and advanced knowledge of report writing tools. Related experience in report and interface design and development. Experience with Business Objects, Crystal Reports, SQL, Data Services, SharePoint and Advanced Excel, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) skills or other related systems.
- Ability to work effectively with end users at all levels in order to understand and gather business requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage complex requests within tight deadlines.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
- We offer a hybrid work environment. Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office two to three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PowerBI, Azure, Python, or Tableau.
- Experience working with human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
