Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Representative to join our team in Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in construction management, field inspections, and quality assurance. In this role, you will oversee on-site inspections, ensuring compliance with schedules, specifications, and quality standards. You will monitor contractor performance, address deficiencies, and verify adherence to safety regulations and contract requirements. Your expertise will be key in providing timely quality assurance reports and supporting successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections to assess compliance and project effectiveness.
- Inspect complex construction projects requiring specialized technical expertise.
- Ensure contractor adherence to schedules, plans, and specifications.
- Review and inspect materials, installations, and testing, addressing deficiencies.
- Perform quality assurance inspections in alignment with USACE standards.
- Verify that materials and workmanship meet contract requirements.
- Participate in initial inspections and provide QA reports within 24 hours.
- Confirm site layout, elevations, and QC requirements before work begins.
- Monitor deficiency tracking and ensure corrective actions are documented.
- Inspect offsite fabricated items for compliance before delivery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction management and field inspections.
- Proven expertise in managing complex construction operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction scheduling, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills for assessing contractor claims and performance.
- Proficient in documentation and reporting using systems like USACE Resident Management System (RMS).
Specialized Expertise:
- Conduct field inspections to evaluate workmanship and compliance with plans and specifications.
- Interpret plans, specifications, and review as-built drawings.
- Review contractor daily quality control reports and performing quality assurance inspections.
- Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 (USACE Safety Manual) and OSHA 29 CFR 1926 regulations.
- Review and evaluate contractor claims, prepare documentation, and support Contracting Officer submission.
