Senior Commercial Manager
Job Purpose
To support the Head of Commercial- Shipping in the leadership and management of the function, contribute to the success of the Commercial Division through wider senior and international stakeholder engagement, and act in their stead as deputy as operational requirements dictate.
Responsible for leading contract management, negotiations, and business development within a specified area, development of negotiation strategies and managing contracts through the applicable commercial processes towards approval; and managing all commercial aspects of existing contracts through appropriate interfaces with customer, service provider (e.g., Site Licence Company) and internal project manager (if applicable).

Key accountabilities
Key Expectations of the Job Holder Delivery responsibilities:
- Commercial management of all Japanese PNTL transport contracts associated with MOX, Vitrified Residue, Intermediate level waste, Spent Fuel and Global Acceptance
- Negotiation of sales contracts – Ensuring that contracts recommended for signature meet, or exceed, Company targets
- Contract Administration – Successful management of all contractual provisions to maximise the benefits to the Company
- Risk management – Ensuring that there are appropriate measures in place to satisfactorily manage the risk entered when a contract is signed
- Project Support – Ensuring appropriate commercial input to various selected projects involving capital expenditure on transport assets
- Management of all commercial activities in support of the PNTL Executive and Board
- Commercial input to all PNTL contracts and management of PNTL
- Support in preparation of the departmental Strategic Plan

Dimensions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good degree in a relevant topic and/or significant experience in market assessed business development sales and contract negotiation
EXPERIENCE:
- Strong track record in developing and delivering new business proposals
- Significant experience of contract development, negotiation, and contract management
- Ability to understand and embed best practice in their teams to ensure the production of high-quality reports and analysis
- Evidence of line management and contribution to personal development of teams
KNOWLEDGE:
- Detailed understanding of the nuclear industry and key business issues affecting NTS; including external influencing factors
- Demonstrable understanding of the NTS product portfolio for maritime and solutions
- Detailed awareness of key stakeholders and their key drivers
- Understands and can evidence experience of sales and proposal development
- Understands Contract Law
SKILLS:
- Embodies drive, enthusiasm, and personal integrity
- Prove track record of making decisions within set guidelines
- Ability to represent NTS at the most senior levels in a professional manner
- Exemplary written and oral skills
