Primary Purpose:
Perform a full spectrum of financial planning, analysis, budgeting and accounting responsibilities, including preparation, monitoring and reporting of business unit financial plans. Provide support to business unit operating departments and regions in the areas of financial consulting, process costing, and performance measurement. Provides support for regulatory filings by performing financial support for intervenor data requests and regulatory filings/proceedings (GRC and annual accountability report filings).

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare analysis and reports of financial and operational data to assist company and business unit management achieve performance targets.
  • Develop departmental annual budgets.
  • Coordinate and prepare annual O&M and capital budgets and related cash flows.
  • Coordinate with other business units and prepare financial and cost allocation plans and monthly quarterly performance reviews.
  • Provide support in the development of computerized solutions to meet such requirements.
  • Perform special projects and studies as assigned by manager.
  • Provide support in the tracking and analysis of operational and financial performance measures and indicators for the business unit segment.
  • Provide support for regulatory filings including GRC and annual accountability reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Accounting, finance, economics, related business administration field or equivalent training and experience.
  • 5 years – relevant experience
  • Expert knowledge of all standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook).
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of the “big picture” and ability to interpret accounting, regulatory, and financial theories and concepts, and develop alternative solutions to the Company’s current businesses and regulatory issues to enhance shareholder value.
  • Good knowledge of generally accepted accounting and costing principles and methodologies.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of accounting and costing principles and methodologies.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
  • We offer a hybrid work environment. Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office two to three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is desirable.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and/or other professional certificates.
  • Preferred knowledge of SAP/BW.
  • Preferred knowledge of CMS, NBMS, DART and DataMart.

Work Schedule
HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 2-3 days per week.
Salary Range
$81,600.00 – $122,400.00
