The role: The Senior Accountant works closely with the Chief Administrative Officer and assists in the development and implementation of Groups360’s accounting procedures; month-end processes, effective reporting and analysis and all necessary tax requirements. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing all Groups360’s financial information and will make recommended changes based on interpreted financial data and account reconciliations.
What you will do:
- Accountable for month-end general ledger close processes.
- Responsible for the reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
- Post necessary journal entries.
- Maintain the Company’s GL Chart of Accounts and ERP Financial Reporting functions.
- Assist in the development of the budget and variance reporting.
- Manage subsidiary ledgers.
- Prepare, review and analyzes financial statements in compliance with regulations and laws.
- Partner with Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer to provide outside tax compliance resources with information that is used to prepare state, local and federal tax returns.
- Present findings and recommendations for financial performance based on examination or preparation of financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company procedures / policies, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Research and respond to inquiries.
- Suggest improvements to current procedures to ensure effective and efficient operation of the department and company.
- Lead the data collection and assist in the required analysis for all external audits, internal audits, and tax compliance requests by providing documentation support and supporting conclusions.
- Takes initiative for problem solving within the team.
- Supervise and guide AR Specialists.
- Maintains integrity of accounting systems.
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of accounting experience required. Big 4 Experience is a plus.
- Experience with various Accounting Software packages. Sage Intacct and Concur are a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Experience with foreign entities is a plus.
- Active CPA or actively studying and preparing for CPA certification a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, etc.
- Other qualifications as required.

Core Business Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F, Hybrid; these hours may vary depending upon your position and work requirements.

Location: Brentwood, TN. HYBRID (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
