Our Opportunity
As the Senior Account Manager, you will collaborate with the Account Director to drive the strategic vision, creative development, content development and execution of events and programs. In this role, you will work with a team to balance shifting priorities, programs and deliverables to ensure all projects are on time, on budget and exceed client expectations. You will be a pivotal member of the account team in ensuring overall account health and client success.
In this role, you will collaborate with other team members on identifying, planning, and managing key deliverables, activities, budgets and deadlines for individual projects, as well as review, evaluate and critique creative ideas/output to ensure that work meets client and agency quality standards. In order to provide integrated project management for the GPJ team, you will need to have a thorough understanding of event development and execution processes!
You will also work daily on the planning, development, and delivery of client experiences and contribute to the development, writing and delivery of client presentations, scopes of work and project proposals across the client’s portfolio of events. You’ll work across various client groups and departments. Your ability to anticipate potential issues or needs and proactively solve them will be key when it comes to overall client success.
You will develop internal relationships and partnerships with various disciplines including strategy, creative, production, operations, and finance and work as an integrated GPJ team. Through these collaborations you and this team will be able to provide key client insights and clear marketing direction and build a solid, trusting, value-added relationship with your client(s).

Some of the Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day client satisfaction for assigned Programs and designated areas of responsibility, including identifying, building and maintaining client relationships across your peer client group.
- Work with the Account Director on new business development and organic growth
- Understand agency core capabilities and the opportunities and efficiencies they create across the program work
- Manage the Event Scope of Work (SOW)
- Make recommendations for course correction of planned activity as needed based on business needs; challenges and results
- Maintain regular update/status meetings with internal and external teams
- Day to day and first point of contact for all client issues and escalation items
- Provide ongoing strategic direction and best practices consultation regarding the overall portfolio of events
- Partner with Strategy to identify opportunities and help develop strategic plans to continuously grow the business
- Provide input into post-event scorecards and provides recommendations for continuous improvements and efficiencies
- Participate in various planning sessions both client-facing and internally focused
- Manage agency event feedback and recap process for assigned programs
Who You Are & What You Will Bring
Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. A minimum of 5 years of previous event marketing experience, preferably in an agency environment. Experience with Fortune 500 brands. Event marketing experience required.

Communication: You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening. You have experience in presentation development and delivery including writing and packaging.
Flexibility and Adaptability: You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done! You understand that you may be required to work irregular hours, nights and weekends, etc. as dictated by client deliverables and deadlines.
Team Collaboration: You are a leader adept at identification, hiring and mentoring of skills and resources required to build agency teams that deliver predictable, repeatable business value and operating models. You’ll know you will work daily with various GPJ teams on the development and delivery of premium consumer experiences.
Relationship Builder: You strive to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside the client organization.
Fiscally Responsible. You have experience developing, managing and reconciling budgets.
Innovative: Through in-depth business, industry and client knowledge, you drive forward thinking approaches and concepts aligned to and anticipating client’s needs and objectives enabling agency differentiation, identification of new areas for growth and client satisfaction.
