The Role:
Can you break what we make? As a Security Engineer, you will help identify, own and drive impactful projects to improve the security across all of our products, applications, and infrastructure security gaps. You have prior experience as an application or product security engineer.
Job requirements
You will:
- Perform technical security assessments, code audits and design reviews
- Design and execute penetration tests against our products and infrastructure
- Develop mitigation strategies and solutions to gaps that are identified
- Advocate security and secure practices throughout Deed
- Conduct assessments to identify current and new attack vectors against Deed products and services.
You Have:
- Ideally senior-level (5+ years) or mid-level (3+ years) professional experience in a relevant field. If you don’t meet these criteria, but you are smart, adaptable, flexible and if you like to take challenges and ownership at work, we’d like to chat regardless!
- Experience working in a SaaS Security team environment
- Solid knowledge of at least one modern cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proven expertise in detection, exploitation, and mitigation of common web application security vulnerabilities.
- Strong communication skills and the curiosity to learn
- Ability to collaborate across functions
- Robust problem-solving and excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to make hard prioritization decisions
Interview Process:
Our goal is to complete your interview process in under 3 weeks; however, we are happy to move at your pace.
After the initial phone screen, we would like you to meet with the Engineering Team and Founders and test your technical knowledge. Steps in the process may change depending on the availability of the candidate/hiring team and actual needs.
