Corporate Services offers a challenging and stimulating variety of work in both delivery and support teams. The function utilises the expertise of eight specialisms that collectively enable the operational day-to-day running of the business to ensure that SDA delivers its objectives and maintains compliance with the requirements of being part of a Department of State. We cover: Business Support; Comms, Media & Marketing; Infrastructure & Estate Management; Policy Profession; Sales & Disposals; Occupational Health, Safety & Environment; Quality Management; and Security.
A newly created position for a Senior Quality Manager to join The Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) with the responsibility to establish and refine coherent and consistent quality management principles across the SDA. This will be achieved through collaboration on the wider SDA framework, policy and Business Management System work streams, to ensure standardised internal Quality Management arrangements.
As Senior Quality Manager, you will lead a small to with the aim to create a central hub for quality management, taking a key role in maintaining performance and reporting on improvements. Supporting all Delivery Teams at a senior level within the SDA you will have the opportunity to be instrumental in maintaining and further developing Quality Management across the agency.
Key areas of focus will include:
• Quality policy strategy
• Quality planning
• Quality suitable qualified experience person (SQEP)
• Quality management system and making sure these are adhered to
• Internal audit plans
• External audit plans
• Improvement pieces addressing issues as and when they arise
At present the role would be based from home however the position will allow for flexible working with support offered.
Responsibilities
As Senior Quality Manager responsibilities will include:
• Leading the management of the business processes working with the document Sponsors.
• Ensuring appropriate management reviews are held, any appropriate information is produced, and lead on quality management at meetings.
• Planning and lead independent risk based internal assurance quality audits and completing reports.
• Ensuring engagement requirements with stakeholders (incl. customer) regarding quality management planning and activities are effective.
• Leading the capture of Root Causes of non-conformance’s and analyse and present trend data.
• Leading the maintenance or implementation of the Business Management System including the Configuration Management of control aspects.
• Leading in the Implementation or maintenance of ISO 9001 certification.
• Presenting and analyse data to present to Senior Management with recommendations to enable informed decisions.
• Leading to improve the awareness of quality, measuring its effectiveness and adjusting accordingly.
• Leading in the delivery of improvement projects, taking ownership of specific improvement tasks where appropriate.
• Sharing knowledge, liaising with other Domains, training mentors and developing Quality Management professionals in the SDA.
Due to the secure nature of this position the role is open to Sole UK Nationals only.
What you will be assessed against
To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
• Trained in Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Experience in corrective and preventative actions to Root Cause Analysis
• Experience in delivering quality management systems and completing audits
• Trained to ISO90001
