The Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) is an Executive Agency of the Ministry of Defence responsible for the procurement and support of the UK’s nuclear submarines. This is work of unparalleled strategic importance nationally and internationally, ensuring the security of the UK’s continuous at-sea nuclear deterrent. As the organisation responsible for this substantial and wide-ranging programme of work, the Submarine Delivery Agency is accountable to the MOD for the procurement of new submarines and to the Royal Navy for in-service support provision. It employs approximately 1700 highly qualified professionals with significant subject matter expertise and annual spend of c. £3 billion.

Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Reward Manager to oversee the on-going development and improvement of our complex Reward, Compensation and Benefits strategy. As Reward Manager you will provide support to the Director of HR in the day to day management of all aspects of employee compensation and benefits. Duties include:
* Managing a busy Reward team
* Overseeing the development and implementation of a Reward strategy aligned to our business targets
* Managing and maintaining competitive compensation and benefits frameworks
* Conducting external benchmarking and ensuring knowledge of best market practice in all areas of compensation and benefits is kept up to date
* Supporting the management of the job evaluation process
* Interpreting UK legislation and HMRC tax rules, ensuring SDA compensation and benefits policies and processes are legally compliant
* Conducting analysis and producing regular statistical metrics, as well as generating reports, data and management information for individual projects and decision making throughout the business
* Engaging key stakeholders to ensure that compensation and benefits frameworks are relevant, valued and understood by the business
* Participating in networking forums to further enhance SDA market knowledge
* Working with REMCO and executive pay
* Managing the accurate and timely completion of salary survey reports including trend analysis and making recommendations using various external benchmarking companies to enable SDA to make informed decisions
To be successful in this post you will have demonstrable experience of:
* Delivering Civil Service pay negotiations
* Benchmarking
* Job evaluation
* Involvement in annual pay reviews and awards including REMCO/Executive Pay and TU consultation
* Worked in a large complex environment
* People Management
