Job description
Are you looking for a challenging and interesting opportunity? Does being a key member of the Project Control team supporting the Submarine Delivery Agency excite you?
If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
The SDA is an integral part of UK Defence supporting our Nuclear Submarines; responsibilities include procurement, in service support and disposal. Our work is of unparalleled strategic importance and delivers some of the most technically complex programmes in Defence.
We are currently looking to recruit two Project Control Managers within our Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP), based out of our highly impressive waterfront location, HMNB Clyde. Being sited on the waterfront, you will be overlooking the fleet of submarines, operating world-wide from Fas Lane, and able to witness the direct output of your project delivery. This position will be the ‘right hand’ to the project/programme manager and will involve working on a range of high value and complex once-in-a-lifetime projects and portfolios.
The Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) is the largest support programme ever undertaken by the MoD and is the development and implementation of new commercial arrangements with industry – transforming the way that support is provided to all our classes of complex submarines. FMSP supports every UK Naval Base and projects range from the Naval Base accommodation Royal Navy personnel live in, to the Warships and Submarines they serve in, ensuring they are fit and capable to carry out their responsibilities on behalf of the Nation.
Due to security requirements, these posts will be reserved for sole UK Nationals only.

• Have responsibility for the management of a Project Controls team and employees.
• Be able to interpret complex data and communicate it to the delivery team.
• Offer strategic advice and communicate with stakeholders on complex issues regarding project performance
In person, you will possess good interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills with experience of working collaboratively with teams, across functions and with all levels of the delivery teams.
These roles would suit a Project Controls professional with proven track record either in supplier, consultant or client-side roles; ideally with a background in delivery projects through the stages of design, procurement and construction/production.
A background in the defence sector is not a prerequisite as we welcome applicants from a broad spectrum of industries and sectors.
Due to security requirements, these posts are reserved for SOLE UK NATIONALS ONLY.
