We have an exciting vacancy available within SDA for Project Controls Co-ordinators.
Successful candidates will take roles within the Project Controls Management function to provide support across a variety projects and portfolios.
This position will be the “right hand” to the project/programme manager and is responsible for delivering Project Controls across a variety of smaller projects and as part of a Project Controls team on more complex projects or portfolios.
Due to the nature the post available, it is only available for SOLE UK Nationals.
You will also be required to obtain DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance.
Responsibilities
As a Project Controls Co-ordinator, you may be responsible for elements of:
• Setting and maintaining performance measurement baselines; directing and integrating all aspects of Earned Value Management (EVM); cost management; estimating; scheduling and risk management; providing analysis of progress and driving agreed recovery actions.
• Responsibility for co-ordinating a Project Controls information in a project delivery environment.
• Be able to interpret project controls performance data and communicate it to the delivery team.
• Provide robust advice for delivery stakeholders on complex issues regarding project performance.
In person, you will possess good interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills with an ability to work with all levels of the delivery team.
These roles would suit Project Controls professionals with experience either in supplier, consultant or client-side roles; ideally with understanding in delivering projects through the stages of design, procurement and construction/production.
A background in the defence sector is not a prerequisite as we welcome applicants from a broad spectrum of industries and sectors.
What you will be assessed against
To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
• Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or sufficient relevant experience
• Background and understanding of working in a project delivery environment and understanding of at least one of the following cost control, estimating, scheduling or risk management skills
It would benefit your application should you be able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:
• APM RPP, CCAB or a technical / business degree would be an advantage
