Job description
The IT Delivery Analyst role is fundamental to delivery of IT services to the new the Nuclear Submarine Enterprise (NSE) Network which is a key enabler for the submarine programme. The role will also support the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) manager with the day-to-day operation of the PKI, performance of the contractor and implementation of authorised changes in respect of the NPPT PKI across UK sites. This role is critical to the secure implementation and operation of the network.
To be a successful in the role, you will be required to engage with multiple stakeholders across the business and provide appropriate advice and guidance, alongside being able to interpret policy and develop new ideas, which will impact on your immediate area of work.
This role will also see you supporting the lifecycle planning, control and management of the IT assets of the organisation, as an IT Delivery Analyst you will support change to the service infrastructure and implement processes, systems and functions in order to package, build, test and roll out changes or updates to the business. This role is pivotal in supporting PKI management activities and processes.
As a result, you will be working with both legacy and new Information Communications Technology (ICT) projects and services.
Typical activities of this post may include:
• Raising support calls and liaising with suppliers regarding technical issues to ensure effective resolution.
• Managing and assisting with requests for application/service support, providing advice, guidance and direction.
• Working with a diverse range of MOD stakeholders and external Delivery Partners.
• Managing compliance.
• Delivering projects within time, cost and quality parameters.
• Managing services in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
• Understand, analyse and document customer needs and identify potential savings to demonstrate value for money when undertaking output and/or report activity.
• Develop, plan and assure the delivery of Services using project management techniques.
Responsibilities
To be successful in the role you must have technical knowledge consistent with that gained through education to relevant degree level (or equivalent qualification) or technical experience, whether that be in a professional working environment or self-taught.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to collaborate and engage with multiple stakeholders on subject specific matter, and be able to interpret subject matter policy and rules, and engage/advise multiple stakeholders accordingly.
Demonstrable experience of one or more of the following would lead to your success in this post:
• Being involved in IT projects within a complex change environment
• An understanding of ITIL service management processes along with other relevant knowledge and qualifications, which may include TOGAF (The Open Group Architect Framework) Certified, ISEB (Information Systems Examination Board) Certificate in Enterprise and Solutions or an International Diploma in Business Analysis
• Strong experience of recent Microsoft technology stacks, preferably within on premise, private or hybrid cloud models
• Cryptographic management
It would be beneficial but not essential if you demonstrate the following:
• ISEB Certificate in Business Analysis.
• ITIL V3 Intermediate.
• Change Implementation planning and management Level 4.
• Business Analysis Level 4
• Routing and Switching knowledge
• Cloud knowledge
• Virtualisation (server and network)
• Tunnelling technology knowledge
• CISCO knowledge and experience
