School Counsellor – Alternative Provision College Chichester
3 hours per week
Term Time only at 46 weeks per year
Fixed Term Contract until 31 July 2021 (likely to be extended)
£29,670 per annum (pro rata)
YMCA DownsLink Group Dialogue is a well-established BACP accredited counselling and wellbeing service for children, young people & families operating across Sussex and into Surrey. Dialogue have been offering counselling in the APC colleges across West Sussex from some years now.
This is an exciting opportunity to continue the delivery of the Dialogue counselling service to students in this alternative provision college. The college provides education for pupils who are at risk of being or have been permanently excluded from both primary and secondary mainstream schools, those who are out of school for medical reasons and those too sick to attend school.

Applicants should be at least 2 years post-qualified counsellors/therapists and BACP Registered or Accredited, or registered with another recognised professional body (e.g. HPC, UKCP).
We are looking for counsellors/therapists with experience of working therapeutically with children and young people, ideally in a school setting with experience of working with challenging behaviours.
