Job Description:
The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive leadership role in helping the College effectively manage change.
The Scholarship Coordinator is directly accountable to the Executive Director for the following duties and responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES: These are the duties typically completed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis and are not all-inclusive of all of the duties for this position.
- Provide excellent customer service and answers for faculty, staff, and students.
- Maintain all NWF State College, donor-designated, NWF State College Foundation, external, and State of Florida scholarship files, assuring that each scholarship program is administered by donor instructions.
- Select student scholarship recipients according to the criteria established by the Foundation Office.
- Facilitate external scholarship process with the Business Office to ensure donor funds are disbursed by scholarship instructions.
- Coordinate reporting needs with Information Technology and create scholarship survey in Banner.
- Award First Generation Match Scholarship and ensure accurate and timely reporting to the Offices of Student Financial Assistance.
- Coordinate awarding of internal scholarships and ensure student eligibility.
- Responsible for assisting the Executive Director in developing the annual budget for internal scholarships.
- Provide an annual report on student success outcomes (persistence, completion, etc.) associated with all institutional scholarships.
- As requested, prepare various reports and reconciliations of funding sources with Business and Foundation Offices.
- Disburse scholarship funds to students in accordance with state and college policy and scholarship requirements.
- Review daily/weekly reports to ensure all students’ financial aid has been processed.
- Participates in outreach to various community events.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- ·Associate’s degree from a two or four-year college or university; plus, two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of higher education processes and FERPA.
