Full-Time Sales Manager – Large Market – East Coast
Job Description
What you’ll be doing
- Build and maintain relationships with customers
- Identify business prospects and secure new customers that are aligned with Deem’s business goals and objectives
- Meet with key decision makers to grow the customer base and to expand Deem’s market share
- Team with internal and external teams to develop winning strategies
- Develop innovative ways to attract new business within a defined territory
- Set strategies for account acquisition
- Manage time and activity to ensure sales quotas are met
- Develop ongoing process improvements towards the timely closing and on-boarding of new customers
- Accurately maintain all activity records in the company’s CRM
- Direct all aspects of the sales process to include vetting opportunities, developing relationships with decision makers, identifying the members of the deal team, assessing what it will take to win, managing the end-to-end sales process, closing deals, managing contract negotiations, and remaining engaged in the implementation process to ensure a successful onboarding
- Participate in meetings, conventions, conferences, and various functions to promote Deem
- Maintain a high standard of quality, personal excellence, and accountability
- Provide customer feedback to the product development team to continually improve the services and product offerings of the organization and the value proposition
- Maintain clear focus on the customer while being fiscally responsible
- Prepare internal team for customer-facing meetings, including briefs and rehearsal
- Effectively manage time and resources to meet timelines and deadlines
- Make thoughtful and timely decisions based on information, including difficult decisions
- Maintain composure in challenging situations and negotiations
- Present compelling evidence and data to persuade and influence decisions
- Negotiate effectively
- Build strong long-term relationships with internal stakeholders and customers, including committees
- Network effectively internally (within Deem and Enterprise Holdings) and externally
- Inspire confidence and respect across all decision-maker levels, including C-suite
- Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management and executives
- Prioritize activities and responsibilities to achieve goals and meet deadlines
- Work in an orderly, timely and organized manner
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Over 7+ years of sales experience with at least 2 years of experience including Fortune 500 sized companies and a proven track record of success with customers of this size
- Experience developing innovative approaches and ideas to close [mid-market/large] accounts
- Knowledge of the travel industry a plus
- Technology sales experience preferred
- Executive presence and high degree of professional maturity
- Forward-thinking and approach to situations from both a big-picture and detailed perspective
- Consultative sales and trusted advisor approach
- Ability to manage senior stakeholders and present recommendations, viewpoints with depth knowledge of the data
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The role may require travel within the US to meet customers, attend trade events and attend internal meetings
