SUMMARY:
Hachette Book Group is seeking a Sales Coordinator, Wholesale and Library & Academic Marketing to join the team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with Seasonal Sales Preview Presentations to Wholesaler accounts
- Assist the sales team with Ad hoc Order Tracking and Sales & Inventory reporting
- Responsible for Account mailings
- Support account managers with Buy reports and Coop Promotion Entry (Commitments and Claims) and account Requests follow up
- Collaborating with Library & Academic team on seasonal marketing plans, strategies, and campaigns, and design related presentation materials
- Coordinate and create social media posts, including post-preparation and follower interaction. This includes producing visual assets for use in eblasts, digital catalogs, and more.
- Organize monthly newsletter schedules and develop content in both academic and library spaces
- Fulfill library and educator award requests
- Refresh and maintain the library and academic website
- Work alongside team to prepare for special events, conferences, and buzz sessions
- Collaborate on various reporting and administrative functions of HBG and industry systems including, but not limited to, NetGalley and Edelweiss
- Assist with exam/desk copy management and reporting
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- 1-2 years’ experience in publishing in sales, marketing, or promotions department.
- Aesthetic sensibility & basic visual design skills, using programs such as Canva
- Well-organized and capable of juggling multiple projects at one time; personable
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail.
- Results-oriented, motivated, resourceful & able to work independently.

The compensation for this position is $53,200. Salary can vary based on several factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
