ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages, LLC is seeking to hire a Safety Manager. This position leads in the development, the creation and the implementation of the ACCB Health & Safety Plan and policies to enable compliance, injury elimination, and management system elements. Ensure all aspects of on-the-job safety for ACCB including the implementation of safety management system tools to ensure consistent execution of the safety program. Ensure compliance to ACCB policies, Federal, State and Local regulations, related to Health & Safety, and that a consistent Safety message is driven at all levels of the organization.

This position may work remotely but must live near one of our Distribution Centers: Pittston, Mount Pocono, Lehigh Valley, Harrisburg, Reading, Lancaster, Milton, DuBois, Greensburg, Ebensburg, Erie, Pittsburgh, Bethlehem, Lemoyne, Houston, PA; Fairmont, WV; Cleveland, OH.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in the creation and implementation of the ACCB Health & Safety Plan and policies to enable compliance, injury reduction, and management system elements.
- Drive all aspects of on-the-job safety for ACCB including the implementation of safety management system tools to ensure consistent execution of the safety program.
- Ensure, compliance to ACCB policies, Federal, State and Local regulations, related to Health & Safety, and that a consistent Safety message is driven at all levels of the organization.
- Drive the safety culture at ACCB through a proactive approach to hazard identification, safety training, and auditing.
- Interact with governmental agencies, including but not limited to OSHA.
- Create schedule of facility audits and work with the facilities to create action plans for improvement.
- Leverage business relationship with field operations and sales leadership to support and drive the execution and sustainability of current and future safety program.
- Collaborate and provide counsel to corporate/field centered ACCB associates and other functional stakeholders in developing, facilitating, and assessing security strategies for protecting associates, workplace environment, brands, products and assets.
- Develop and implement key communication and management routines.
- Develop, implement, and facilitate on-going security-centric processes, policies, training (i.e., workplace safety program) and advisory services in support of business operations.
- Identify risk opportunities within the ACCB business operations and provide expert advice and guidance on all security matters.
- Detect, investigate, report and successfully mitigate incidents of fraud, theft, Code of Business Conduct, Workplace Safety, and other malicious business activities associated with our Company, its products, associates, customers and venders.
- Develop and execute investigative strategies with key internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and implement security audit compliance templates to be utilized/evaluated throughout ACCB.
- Travel: 30%
- Other projects as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 3- 5 years leadership experience in health and safety supporting warehousing, distribution, and field operations in a multi-unit environment.
- Knowledge of all state and federal safety regulations (i.e., OSHA)
- Experience with management systems implementation.
- Professional safety or risk management designation (e.g., ASP, CSP, ARM)
- Computer skills including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SAP preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a MVR within company standards.
