PURPOSE:

The Wondr Regional VP, Health Plans role will be setting and executing the strategy of the payers in their territory for growth and expansion. You will engage with Fortune 500 C-Level executives, Vice Presidents, and Directors to establish and grow multi-year partnerships that accelerate strategic imperatives with both our existing and new payer partners. You will have the opportunity to be highly entrepreneurial, opening new avenues for client value and innovating transformational business models. Reporting to the Leader of Health Plan Solutions, this individual must be results oriented with a proven record of successfully generating new business development from start to finish for new payer partners. As the regional leader, you will be responsible for the execution of the Health Plan/TPA vertical sales strategy, establishing and managing c-suite and executive level relationships, hiring, managing and mentoring sales director(s), establishing and executing on Account Based Sales Plans, setting goals and metrics, reporting and Salesforce compliance, representing and promoting the Wondr brand, researching market trends, and targeting relationships that are aligned with Wondr Health strategic goals.  The Regional VP, Health Plans will collaborate with internal colleagues across various functional areas and leverage subject matter experts as appropriate to support his/her efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Leverage healthcare payer expertise to assess needs and create strategies to align the needs of each potential client with Wondr HealthTM solutions
  • Develop and build strong relationships with existing and new payer partners.
  • Participate in developing innovative payor and business model strategies that enhance access to affordable, high quality healthcare technology for overall physical and mental health
  • Partner closely with our Product and Marketing teams to identify and execute on partnership opportunities with payor partners, insurers, brokers, and other partnerships that can drive business objectives
  • Growth and expansion of new Health Plan Logos across all lines of business
  • Grow client relationships and expand Wondr HealthTM solution footprint by serving as a trusted advisor and participate in weekly reviews of client engagements
  • Developing and qualifying leads within respective territory and account assignments through established relationships, cold-calling, and lead generation campaigns
  • Drive all sales activities from start to finish including but not limited to; prospecting, profiling/vetting, sales meetings, product demonstrations, RFP/proposal development, and contract execution, all while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Strategically plan, negotiate, and influence interactions and relationships with clients and internal team members to achieve sales goals
  • Track and monitor client engagements through Salesforce CRM, manage sales pipeline, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, and drive sales membership and revenue growth
  • Utilization and adoption of Wondr Sales Process
  • Coordinate sales activities with all levels of staff and external partners through clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Facilitate effective transition of new business to account management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

  • Knowledge of competitive and relevant market data
  • Developing and qualifying leads within respective territory and account assignments through established relationships, cold-calling, and lead generation campaigns
  • Drive all sales activities from start to finish including but not limited to; prospecting, profiling/vetting, sales meetings, product demonstrations, RFP/proposal development, and contract execution, all while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Maintain an understanding of the marketplace and competitive offering and landscape
  • Proven history of developing large pipelines of sales opportunities
  • Strategically plan, negotiate, and influence interactions and relationships with clients and internal team members to achieve sales goals
  • Track and monitor client engagements through Salesforce CRM, manage sales pipeline, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, and drive sales membership and revenue growth
  • Utilization and adoption of Wondr Sales Process
  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to increase opportunities and participate in weekly reviews of client engagements
  • Inform and collaborate with Wondr product, marketing, and implementation teams to guide/support/influence product roadmap, marketing strategy, and implementation requirements and process based on business needs
  • Support new business implementation through strong collaboration with internal team members to deliver a superior customer experience
  • Facilitate effective transition of new business to account management
  • Coordinate sales activities with all levels of staff and external partners through clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Provide Wondr leadership with regular and timely sales updates and weekly status reports
  • Solid presentation and demo skills in front of customers. Demonstrated ability speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
  • Conducts business with high regard for Wondr’s corporate values and in compliance with its Code of Business Conduct

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or other related field of study.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience of health plan experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a strategic client growth role, professional services, or healthcare consulting. Health/tech space preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience closing and leading large multi-million-dollar national accounts.
  • Prefer sales executives with strong consultative and solution sales experience selling direct to employers, Health plans, Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), national/regional consulting firms/broker firms, and/or through channel distribution partners.
  • Willingness to travel as required up to 30-40% 

GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

General office working conditions can be remote work from home or in the office. Each department head determines if position is work from home or hybrid meaning works from home and in the office as needed. Work schedules vary. When working in the office pod workstation area has little or no privacy. Involves extended periods of sitting at a workstation performing computer duties. Constant flow of interruptions by personnel, visitors to the area and telephone calls. Private workstations are available as needed. Certain positions are assigned an office.
