Job Role: Rough Sleeper Navigator
Salary: £23,240 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Exeter

The Role:
The successful Rough Sleeper Navigator will as part of a multi-disciplinary team working with individuals within the Target Priority Group (TPG). The role involves providing effective, tailored interventions to people on the streets based on their individual needs and characteristics, creating bespoke support for people that experience long-term rough sleeping.
You will support these individuals along their journey from the street and into accommodation, following them across changes to their person circumstances, including periods of rough sleeping, changes in accommodation, or periods in institutions such as prison or hospital.
Responsibilities include:
- To operate in the community making pro-active interventions with outreach clients to ensure comprehensive, person-centred advice and advocacy on housing and other issues
- Carry out a strength-based assessment with each rough sleeping client and plan support actions/interventions, which will assist clients to achieve their goals and more towards a sustainable life away from the streets
- Support clients to engage in consultation events both within the organisation and in the wider community
- Work in close partnership with other outreach and floating support services working as one team
- Attend weekly multi-agency review group to review service user’s interventions, review progress and work towards positive changes to avoid a return to the streets
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Understanding of the needs of rough sleepers and the effects of trauma on individuals with complex lives
- Resilience to work flexibly and creatively with individuals who may have seemingly intractable problems
