Temporary Resort Service Agent

Job Description

The Drake Devonshire is a boutique hotel located in historic Wellington, Prince Edward County. We are currently hiring a Part-time RESORT SERVICE AGENTS to join our dynamic team!

We are looking for guest-focused, hardworking, professional, flexible and positive individuals who are adventurous, love learning and want to explore and learn various aspects of hospitality operations before narrowing their focus on one single department. We have full time + part time positions available. Weekend hours are a requirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

Housekeeping

• Housekeeping duties, including cleaning rooms, common areas
• Fulfillment of housekeeping standards, best practices and procedures
• Regular training in health & safety protocols focused on proper hygiene and disinfection standards

Barback

• Be comfortable to learning basic beverage and barista responsibilities
• Posses and/or is eager to develop Food and Beverage knowledge and hospitality experience
• Create a warm, welcoming environment, for guests and other employees, upholding our standards at all times
• Ensure stock levels are consistently maintained, polishing glassware and silverware, and performing additional side work, as assigned
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
• Perform any general cleaning tasks and closing duties as assigned by supervisor

Food Runner

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately
• Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House teams
• Assist servers with table setting by placing and removing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards
• Describe components of the dish to guests
• Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
• Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items

QUALIFICATIONS:

• No previous experience required (full training to be provided)
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Kind, courteous, and helpful attitude
• Holiday + Weekend availability required.
• Energetic and willingness to be active in the workplace, completing tasks that are both physical and repetitive.
• Ability to communicate, multi-task and work as part of a team or independently.
