Full-Time Research Nurse/Program Coordinator
Job Description
As a member of the Center of Excellence (Nursing Research, Innovation, Professional Development and Quality) and reporting to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer of the Center of Excellence, the Research Nurse/Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting, coaching and mentoring nurses and patient care service members through the design, implementation, analyzation and dissemination of nursing research, translational evidence-based practice initiatives and quality improvement projects. Knowledge and skills in data management and analyzation are preferred. The Research Nurse/Program Coordinator also functions within the role of support for nursing program development, educational activities including and not limited to onboarding/orientation and as a nurse planner of events.
As the Research Nurse/Program Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to implementing the mission set forth by Tufts Medical Center and Tufts Children’s Hospital the Nursing department for excellence in care and supports the oversight of studies to ensure that research and evidence based practice initiatives are performed in a manner consistent with Institutional Review Board guidelines. The role also includes participating in the development, implementation, evaluation and revision of professional development activities and procedures to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, safety, patient family centeredness and productivity.
