What You’ll Be Doing in the role of Project Manager, Mission Operations
The Project Manager, Mission Operations is a member of the Mission Operations team within Komen’s Mission division. The Project Manager will manage multiple projects in the Mission Operations department including, but not limited to projects that involve information technology, legal, finance, administrative process improvement, and strategic initiatives.
What You Will Bring to the Table
The primary responsibility of the Project Manager, Mission Operations is to support Susan G. Komen in achieving our overall Vision and Mission by managing projects that support Mission programs. This responsibility includes but is not limited to the following functions:
Apply project management expertise to all aspects of the Komen’s Mission Operations department.
Develop project strategy and deliverables, create project plans and tactical action plans, implement solutions, and achieve measurable project results.
Develop schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and budgets.
Set and monitor deadlines, ensure completion of deliverables, and alert team of pending due dates and delinquencies.
Schedules regular team meetings to drive projects forward and to provide status reports to program stakeholders.
Utilize and manage project management technologies and tools to administer projects actively and effectively (including, but not limited to, Asana, Excel, SharePoint, Jira).
Work collaboratively with Mission staff and across Komen departments to develop and implement solutions that support the needs of the mission division.
Perform a broad range of administrative activities including scheduling and meeting planning, document creation, communications, travel arrangements, minutes, presentations, and other logistical functions. Make independent decisions within established guidelines to provide support with administrative functions.
Partner with Komen Evaluation Team to develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurable outcomes for Mission Operations projects with a focus on measuring the progress on achieving milestones and the overall impact of the project.
Promote an organizational culture that values strategy, planning, collaboration within mission and across Komen, trust, commitment to the mission, and professional and organizational growth.

We Already Know You Will Also Have
At least 5 years of project management experience
High level of computer/technical skills (MSOffice, Project Management Systems, familiarity with EHR, Client Management and Financial Management Systems).
Experience in strategic planning, and in implementing strategic priorities.
Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of processes and programs, and ability to implement improvements.
Overall work experience 5 – 7 years
Bachelor’s Degree: Business, Public Administration, Communications, Non-Profit Management.
Preferred experience includes:
PMP Project Management Certification (strongly preferred)
Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written; experience in researching, developing, presenting, and promoting projects; work independently; think creatively; prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Travel requirements required outside of your home office will be up to 25% or less depending on our business needs.
