Job Description
As the Recruitment Events Specialist for the Office of Admissions, you’ll oversee our group visit program, host high school students for on-campus experiences, and plan ‘Discover Wichita State’ events held off-campus in regions with regional recruiters. This role emphasizes hosting virtual events and providing excellent customer service. Your day could be comprised of covering the front desk, tours, or customized event planning for visit groups.

Summary of Responsibilities
Coordinates and facilitates prospective student recruitment, outreach and enrollment services for one (1) or more admissions areas.
Essential Functions
- Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and implements processes which assist in the administration of one (1) or more admissions functions.
- Assists with student recruitment events, activities, and/or initial enrollment services as assigned.
- Addresses student and/or parent concerns and service needs. May take the lead on projects or provide training to staff, as needed.
- Provides and/or assists with prompt resolution to initial admissions policy, procedural inquiries or concerns.
- Researches data and develops activities designed to attain department goals and objectives.
- May be responsible for oversight of the call center and students that staff the call center.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in education, business or related field by hire date
Minimum Experience
One (1) year of experience in program coordination or related field
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to gain knowledge of all facets of WSU student life and admissions/enrollment processes
- Ability to learn WSU’s information systems and understand the functioning of admissions data
- Ability to establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships
Ability to provide excellent customer service - Excellent written and oral communications skills
Pay Information
Range beginning $17.79/hr (equivalent to $37,000/yr), adjustable based on qualifications
