Recovery Connector Team Manager

Full time, fixed term contract to 31/03/25

£26,500 per annum  (top of grade £31,250)

Following securing additional funding, the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership are looking to recruit a Recovery Connector Team Manager. This new and exciting team will involve working intensively with people within the community who are in recovery from drug and/or alcohol use. Each recovery connector will lead within their designated Joined Up Care Derbyshire region (High Peak, Bolsover & NE Derbyshire, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Amber Valley, Erewash and South Derbyshire).

 

In this Team Manager role you will manage the Recovery Connector Team of x4 practitioners, lived experience mentors, volunteers and the lived experience career pathway coordinator.  You will be responsible for ensuring the effective and successful connecting of clients in treatment into community recovery support services or other structured meaningful activities. You will support the development and embedding of new lived experience pathways, recruitment, training utilisation of volunteers, and will work to embed an enhanced recovery-focused offer to clients leaving drug and/or alcohol treatment.

The focus of this recovery connector team is helping the engagement and reintegration of clients in recovery from drugs and/or alcohol into planned and structured community-based support and activities, to attain improved health outcomes, unlock potential and achieve personalised recovery goals. The focus of the lived experience pathway coordinator you will be responsible for line managing is supporting individuals affected directly/indirectly by drugs/alcohol to access relevant qualifications, training and experiences to gain employment.

This role can be based in Buxton High Peak, Chesterfield, Ripley, Ilkeston or Swadlincote, working 37.5 hours per week; Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, on a fixed term 12 month contract to 31/03/25.

As an individual, we are looking for someone with previous experience within the field of substance misuse, is self-motivated, can work on their own initiative, but more importantly as part of a team and possess good leadership, communication and organisational skills. The ideal candidate will be confident, dynamic and forward thinking, have experience of line management, safeguarding, partnership working and working with people in recovery from drug/alcohol use.
