DERBYSHIRE RECOVERY PARTNERSHIP

Recovery Connector Practitioner x4

Full time, fixed term contract to 31/03/25

£23,000 per annum (top of grade £27,500)

Following securing additional funding, the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership are looking to recruit x4 Recovery Connector Practitioners across Derbyshire. This new and exciting team will involve working intensively with people within the community who are in recovery from drug and/or alcohol use. Each recovery connector will lead within their designated Joined Up Care Derbyshire region (High Peak, Bolsover & NE Derbyshire, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Amber Valley, Erewash and South Derbyshire).

 

In this role you will deliver recovery-focused interventions and ensure the effective and successful connecting and transitioning of clients in treatment into community recovery support services, or other structured meaningful activities. You will refer clients on your caseload with drug and/or alcohol issues, to appropriate recovery-oriented support agencies; safeguarding the reintegration and connecting of service users into their local community and support engagement through advocacy and accompaniment. You will deliver recovery-oriented activities and groups and work holistically, in a person-centred way, to achieve positive outcomes for clients in recovery.  You will work effectively in partnership with key stake holders to ensure the needs of this client group are met.

The focus of this role is helping the engagement and reintegration of clients in recovery from drugs and/or alcohol into planned and structured community-based support and activities, to attain improved health outcomes, unlock potential and achieve personalised recovery goals.

Roles can be based in Buxton High Peak, Chesterfield, Ripley, Ilkeston or Swadlincote, working 37.5 hours per week; Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, on a fixed term 12 month contract to 31/03/25.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a clear passion for working with service users in recovery, have an innovative, motivating and proactive approach to their work and experience of using appropriate models, interventions and approaches tailored to meet the individual needs of this client group.
