Legislative Services – RPAM
Status: (1) Contract Full-time – until December 31st, 2025
Salary Range: $67,772 to $84,714 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits)
Work Mode: Hybrid i.e. 1- 2 days on-site per week or as per operational requirements *see below for more details about this work mode.
Reporting to the Program Manager, Real Property the Real Property Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the Program Manager Real Property, the Portfolio Analysts, the Junior Real Property Agent and the Real Property Acquisition Agent for the different Real Property business areas (circulations, encroachments, easements, surplus and disposal of real property assets, taxation and assessment, and region-owned real property inventory).
What you will do in this role:
- Maintain the physical files (open and close) and database records containing comprehensive data for the Real Property business area (circulations, encroachments, easements, surplus and disposal of real property assets, taxation and assessment, and region-owned real property inventory).
- Maintain the database relating to easements.
- Assist with all road closure, bylaws, public notices and surplus circulation procedures for property disposals and encroachments.
- Coordinate all reports to Council and ELT for the section.
- Complete all monthly chargebacks to client departments for section and provide financial updates to management for budget purposes.
- Process all financial documents related to the real property business areas.
- Maintain the encroachment database and all related payments and certificates.
- Track the section activity and document execution records for the section.
- Coordinate the purchasing activities of the section including monthly reconciliations.
- Respond to daily enquiries for information on specific properties from internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide support to Portfolio Analysts in managing assessment and taxation services.
- Conduct comprehensive property research (Geowarehouse, title searches).
- Review development application circulations and prepare aerial identifying location of development and any Region owned/leased assets, and existing encroachment agreements
- Compose correspondence for owners/lawyers/outside consultants, legal agreements.
- Process execution of documents according to execution by-law.
- Sectional administration, including records, documents and information management.
- Ensure all monies received are managed and deposited accurately to the proper accounts.
- Use of technical and professional skills to work with others to investigate problems and explore alternatives solutions in order to attain specific goals.
- Complete quarterly performance measurements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What the role requires:
- Successful completion of a post-secondary program in real estate and/or legal plus a minimum of five years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Access, Peoplesoft, Geowarehouse.
- Demonstrated strong public relations, communication, organizational and administrative skills.

- Demonstrated strong judgement, tact, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and to deal well with changing multiple tasks and priorities under time constraints.

*Work Mode & Job Location: In this role, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. This means you’ll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton, ON as the primary work location. The frequency and location of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.
It’s important to note that your remote work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we’re compliant with all regulations and policies.
