Job Description

To strengthen our U.S. Neurology Missions team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Rare Diseae Commercial Operations Lead.

UCB is developing an innovative new approach to treating IgG mediated diseases. Our goal is to be leaders in rare diseases that can best be served by this new treatment. To strengthen our Rare Disease Mission, we are seeking a Commercial Operations Lead, Rare Disease Marketing. This role is responsible for providing support across all indications and commercialization areas to enable launch readiness, dashboard tracking, budget management, compliant processes, effective communication and overall operational excellence. This position can be located in Atlanta, Georgia or Cambridge, Massachusetts.

  • Partner with Marketing Leads and support key committees such as pan-indication Steering Committee, Indication Strategy Teams, internal Commercial team meetings, and All Mission events.
  • Foster innovation and build, implement, and maintain analytical insights, e.g., dashboards, status updates, business cases, models, etc.
  • Develop executive and team communications for Mission, Region, and Local Affiliates including Board of Directors’ presentations, monthly updates, and ad hoc presentations.

You will contribute by:

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders across the team, UCB, and external vendors to gather input, identify synergies, align processes, and seamlessly execute projects and marketing tactics.
  • Leveraging industry expertise and marketing experience to develop and align processes, templates, governance and stakeholders for brand plan, tactical execution, budget management, and ongoing resource tracking across portfolio.
  • Being the go-to expert and independently lead day-to-day operations and legal/regulatory/compliance review processes including contracts, SoWs, ANFs, POs, marketing assets, etc.
  • Proactively identifying pan-indication/portfolio synergies in order to reinforce best practices within a consistent framework.

Interested?  For this position, you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 + years of pharmaceuitical marketing, strategic planning, or management consulting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other advanced degree relating to operations, strategy or marketing preferred
  • Deep biopharmaceutical expertise with demonstrated experience of Development and New Product and/or Indication Commercialization
  • Rare disease and launch experience preferred
