Full-Time Quality Assurance Analyst Associate

MIND Research Institute is currently seeking a driven, innovative, and motivated problem solver to add to our team. The candidate should be persistent in the face of roadblocks and able to dispatch them efficiently, pulling in others as needed. The Quality Analyst Associate must have excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Test and report issues using a test management tool, help with troubleshooting issues, clearly communicate bug descriptions with test data and verify fixes
  • Create detailed and accurate bug reports in a bug tracker for developer and Triage team
  • Proactively identify problems with requirements (lack of clarity, inconsistencies) while testing, and communicate these issues early to help course-correct
  • Review, test and report on discrepancies between requirements and software
  • Assist in preparation of test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements
  • Document and report progress on testing, defects found and problem resolution to management
  • Attend Triage meetings to report on findings and answer questions
  • Develop and maintain UI test scripts as the software evolves

The following technical skills are necessary for success in this role:

  • Experience with Jira or other issue tracking software
  • Experience with web based application testing on multiple devices

Additional desirable Technical skills

  • Familiarity with HTML CSS and JavaScript, and using Chrome dev tools
  • Knowledge and some experience with automation techniques and tools
