About the Role: Quality Assurance Analyst

General Purpose:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing test plans for Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), including for the website, integrated applications, software applications, and web integrations, to improve the usability of our products. The QA Analyst works with the development team and Digital Services stakeholders to debug code, correct errors, and troubleshoot any issues with software code and functionality.

Essential Functions:

  • Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
  • Defines and documents acceptance criteria with the project management office, development team, and stakeholders.
  • Executes tests on source code.
  • Analyzes test results and provides documentation of results to developers and team members.
  • Works with the development team to correct bugs and errors.
  • Shares business or technical information with colleagues.
  • Other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of the organization.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of MGMAs mission, vision, and values.
  • Ability to use QA tools such as Postman, NewMan, Cypress, or similar, preferably in the JavaScript arena.
  • Ability to work with C#, ASP.Net, SQL and Web API.
  • Ability to work with Entity Framework, Bootstrap, Knockout, and CMS.
  • A good working knowledge of test management software, programming languages, and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with business stakeholders and ensure a thorough understanding of requirements in order to evaluate, design, improve and maintain database and reporting assets.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong quantitative skills.
  • Organized, eager to learn and motivated.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problem solving.

Education:

  • An Associate Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in Quality Assurance testing is required.
  • One (1) or more years of experience in web development, working with C# or similar language, and Microsoft SQL Server or similar database server is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
