We are seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Representative to join our team and perform Construction Management Services (CMS) for complex construction projects in Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of expertise in construction management, field inspections, and quality assurance. You will oversee contractor compliance with schedules, plans, and specifications while conducting detailed inspections of materials, installations, and workmanship. This role involves ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and contract requirements, as well as providing timely quality assurance reports. Strong documentation skills and the ability to evaluate contractor performance and claims are essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections and review reports to evaluate contractor compliance with schedules, plans, and specifications.
- Inspect complex construction projects requiring specialized technical expertise and ensure contractor adherence to workmanship standards.
- Inspect materials, installations, and testing processes, addressing deficiencies and recommending corrective actions.
- Review contractor quality control reports and perform quality assurance inspections per USACE standards.
- Verify that materials and workmanship meet contract requirements during ongoing activities and inspections.
- Participate in preparatory and initial inspections, providing Quality Assurance Reports within 24 hours.
- Confirm site layout, elevations, and QC requirements are met before work begins and throughout construction.
- Monitor deficiency tracking systems, ensuring corrective actions are documented and resolved in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of deficiencies, field issues, and RFIs to ensure proper project tracking and documentation.
- Conduct shop inspections of offsite fabricated items to ensure compliance before delivery to the construction site.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of construction management and field inspection experience.
- Proven experience in managing complex construction operations.
- Strong technical expertise in construction scheduling, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess contractor claims and performance.
- Proficiency in using systems like USACE Resident Management System (RMS) for documentation and reporting.
- Expertise in field inspections, interpretation of plans, contractor performance evaluation, and safety compliance with USACE and OSHA standards.
