Overview
Morning Brew is looking for a QA Engineer II who is passionate about helping ship high quality, production ready products. As Morning Brew’s first QA Engineer, the ideal candidate is someone who is excited about the opportunity to create, own and enhance the entire QA process for our Product team. You should have experience with documenting feature specs, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike, and be willing to roll up your sleeves to build out automated end-to-end testing. This role sits within Product and reports to the Director of Engineering.
Here’s what you’ll be working on:
– Performing manual testing of new products and features
– Writing and owning our entire team’s automated end-to-end tests
– Collaborating with product management and engineering teams to scope out new features and prepare test plans
– Owning the entire QA column in our JIRA board
– Understanding the needs of our stakeholders to help improve the end-user experience
What makes you qualified?
– 3+ years of experience in manual and automated testing
– Demonstrated experience with writing automated tests using JavaScript and tools like Cypress
– Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript and best practices
– Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React is a plus
– Strong knowledge of Linux-based operating system
– You can work independently and are comfortable owning the entire QA process
– You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment and willing to wear many hats
