Full-Time Public Works Sanitation Manager
Job Description
We offer excellent benefits, with the 2022 starting salary range for this position ranging $63,731.20 – $87,401.60; this will increase as of 1/1/2023.
This position supervises staff and oversee the activities associated with the collection and disposal of solid waste and recycling material. This position requires independent and practical problem solving. Hours are normally first shift, but weekend and holiday hours may be required. This position is part of a monthly on-call rotation to address non-business hour emergencies relating to the entirety of the Public Works Field Operations Divisions.
Specific duties include:
- Oversee the Administrative and Planning needs of the Sanitation Division
- Manage the Daily Operations of the Sanitation Division
- Manage Personnel within the Sanitation Division
- Provide Statistical Data and Analysis for the Sanitation Division
Required minimum qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in business, public administration, waste management or a related field; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- At least three (3) years of experience with progressively advanced responsibilities within a waste management operation in lieu of degree.
- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience within a waste management operation.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
