Full-Time Provider Billing and Compliance Program Analyst 1

Job Description

Do you have an interest in helping Oregonians in need by assisting Providers with healthcare billings? Do you have experience dealing with the public in-person or by phone providing information about services and programs, explaining rules, programs, and procedures? This posting will be used to fill one (1) permanent, full-time position. The position is classified and is represented by a union.

Work Location: Salem/Marion; Hybrid position.

 

What you will do!

The primary purpose of this position is to research billing complaints from members regarding their Medical, Dental, Vision and Pharmacy services. The role works with enrolled and non-enrolled providers to resolve billing issues.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

OR

A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program.

 

Desired Attributes

  • Knowledge of health services delivery systems, particularly the Oregon Health Plan/ Medicaid administration in Oregon, and experience in working with Community Mental Health Programs, Behavioral Health Service Providers, Coordinated Care Organizations or other managed care entities.
  • Experience in working with Coordinated Care Organizations or other managed care entities, especially as it relates to equitable access to supports and services.
  • Experience within the context of healthcare claims processing.
  • Experience analyzing complex, detail problems within the context of an extremely automated, highly complex Information System, such as the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
  • Demonstrates skills in the following areas:
