Full-Time Project Manager
Job Description
Guru seeks an experienced project manager (3-5 years in an agency setting) to join our full-time staff. This position is responsible for the healthy day-to-day management of assigned client accounts and the flow of work that takes each project from idea to reality. They act as the primary contact and coordinator of information between the client and the internal team (in partnership with, or under the direction of, the Account Director/Brand Manager, when applicable). The Project Manager is expected to develop effective and collaborative relationships with team members that support both the agency and the client’s goals.
Location: We welcome your remote (but U.S.-based) location, as we are a virtual team with employees across the United States and hubs in California and Burlington, VT.
The priorities for this role include:
- Manage project flows, keeping client work moving in a timely, efficient manner.
- Serve as the primary representative of Guru to each client, and manage the day-to-day client interactions/relations.
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Manage all project finances by tracking hours and cost against budget, project future expenditures and revenue, and manage project scope changes against budget.
- Write project briefs and brief agency teams.
- Coordinate client approvals, feedback, and all quality assurance processes.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Ownership of the details, ensuring Guru’s commitment to quality standards.
- Manage client billing process throughout the month and at month’s end in collaboration with the accounting team.
- Write and oversee completion of reports as necessary.

- Proficient with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and other business applications.
