Project Management Engineer
About this role:
This position will report to the VP of the Grant Administration team and will have the following key responsibilities
- Assess and provide input to all Middle Mile Grant, Broadband Grant, and Broadband RFP opportunities from an environmental, reporting process / data sourcing and implementation management timeline perspective
- Monitor and report on Grant and RFP related implementation management compliance items
- Proactively own and oversee the end-to-end process for Middle Mile Grant, Broadband Grant and Broadband RFP implementation with focus on data sourcing and manipulation to reduce the manual effort as much as practical
What you’ll do:
- Must be able to interpret Grant guidelines and rules
- Expert in Excel
- The ability to analyze data to make decisions
- Understand the end-to-end fiber to the home (FTTH) process
- Assure the customer location integrity is maintained at the handoff between
- Grant contract and Grant Planning
- Grant Planning and Outside Plant Engineering
- Outside Plant Engineering and Construction
- Construction and Open for Sale
What you’ll need:
- Expert in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent control / follow up, organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment and to handle deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with regions and engineering services senior management teams, employees, customers, railroads, regulatory agency officials, and the general public
