Susan@authentise.com – Posted by Susan@authentise.com London, England, United Kingdom

Job Description

Authentise is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for developing Authentise’s open innovation pathways to develop new products that bring leading digital supply chain tools to manufacturers.

The role will be responsible for project management leadership of Authentise’s existing grant-funded projects and leading the next wave of innovation projects in application phase or development. This role is based in the UK.

The specific purpose of this role is to:

  • Lead and manage the successful delivery of a number of projects working across Authentise’ Technology Themes and industry sectors;
  • Ensure needs are clearly captured, understood amongst the project team and consortium of external stakeholders;
  • Liaise with resource owners / team leaders to ensure effective use of resources in delivering project quality, cost & delivery within project scope;
  • Manage any changes to project scope via the recognised “Change Request” process;
  • Act as champion for management processes, tools & techniques;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities related to PM tools and processes.

You will succeed in this role if you:

  • Have worked on public funded programmes like InnovateUK, UKRI, H2020/Horizon Europe – and looking to develop in management of such projects;
  • Are articulate and have excellent written/verbal communication;
  • Proven experience and evidence of working as on complex projects and programmes involving broad-based engineering practices
  • Understanding of Project Management – resource and time management
  • Client/customer management experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to assure a clear translation of business requirements into functional outcomes
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving and teamwork skills
  • Strong ability to give attention to detail, as well as tested organisational skills
  • Able to use own initiative, be proactive and work independently
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office suites including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and quick to pick up new software.
  • The perfect candidate will be someone who understands how software can improve the human side of engineering and manufacturing.
  • Are open minded, enjoy discussing new ideas with people and are keen to build out your business development experience in general (though you may not have any existing experience);
  • Think about new technologies, especially in the manufacturing area.

All aspects of the role are to be carried out as an exemplar within the business:

  • Acting responsibly, putting Authentise’s interests ahead of personal ambition;
  • Providing inspirational leadership to all who come in contact with you;
  • Delivering in the broadest sense a great working environment;
  • Promoting teamwork, supporting through difficult times and collectively celebrating our successes;
  • There will be additional ad hoc project work including ownership for drafting open innovation grant proposals and working with the Head of Projects to submit.

The projects division fosters relationships with a broad range of manufacturing companies, Universities and research institutions, so a strong awareness of value chains in manufacturing would help. The role would suit an individual more interested in project management and commercial pathways than a pure technical career.

Note We may be small, but we take our commitment to a diverse workplace really seriously and measure our success rigorously. Diversity of thought, background and action makes us better so you would be doing us a favour by applying if you consider yourself from a diverse background even if you don’t quite hit all the requirements above. Maybe add a short note. And if you have any feedback about how we could change our outreach, positioning, or requirements to attract more diverse talent, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Salary £28,000-£40,000
