Overview
Compensation: $65,000-$80,000
As a Project Engineer, you will be assisting with operational and administrative control of projects assigned, and assuming responsibility for guiding outcomes of projects. Project Engineer employees are responsible for gaining experience within the industry and knowing the company’s personnel, methods, programs, and policies.

Responsibilities
•Able to read plans and specifications and understand the desired final construction products.
•Mentor and teach others in areas of strength.
•Develop key relationships with proven subcontractors.
•Proficient in the use of cost types/phrases.
•Can perform and effectively delegate project setup, including a selection of phase codes.
•Able to develop and maintain fundamental project schedules utilizing scheduling software.
•Able to prepare budget forecasting.
•Able to seek help to troubleshoot systems issues on projects.
•Able to develop complex change orders for review by the project team.
•Perform complex quantity takeoffs.
•Develop material lists based on current engineering specifications.
•Able to lead the project team with the development of proposals.
•Effectively write clarifications, assumptions, and exclusions.
•Thorough understanding of estimating units, such as MCA or work activity methods.
•Thorough understanding of T + M rate structures for estimating at your site.
•Complete understanding of labor rate development and definition of costs.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering, Management, or a related field is preferred. (Equivalent technical experiences may be accepted in lieu of a degree)
•Two (2) to five (5) years of industrial construction work experience.
•Strong basic computer skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
•Experience in estimating software, Viewpoint, and Procore.
•Technical aptitude to learn internal systems and required packages.
•Strong service orientation, interpersonal and public communication skills, presentation skills, flexibility, and professionalism.
•Ability to work with a diverse team to achieve results.
•Basic organization skills and leadership presence.
