- Salary Range: $89,315.20 – $113,214.40 Annually
- This position will primarily telework, with the expectation of onsite work 1-2 times per quarter.
King County Parks is on the hunt for a dynamic Project Control Specialist – Job Order Contracts (JOC) (classification: Project/Program Manager II) to join our team! This role is all about overseeing and supporting our county-wide JOC contracts within the Parks Division. What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide technical support, training, and assistance to internal and external agency customers in project and contract administration, ensuring timely completion tasks consistent with contract terms and department/county policies.
- Develop and update standardized templates and maintain database trackers and logs in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Create, maintain, and track project documents (e.g., estimates, activity completion, close-out, lessons learned) and review job/work order scopes and costs for compliance with contract terms.
- Facilitate gathering resource estimates from agency project teams to assess project readiness and monitor executed job orders.
- Assist in creating and revising standard process documentation and serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers, including participating in team meetings on Equity and Social Justice topics.
- Monitor and report on contingency status, project progress, and spending. Analyze costs and forecast changes for assigned projects and provide data to the team and leadership as needed.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
- Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in public works or job order contracting.
- Experience in construction cost and scheduling.
- Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field.
- Working knowledge of contract management databases to build reports and dashboards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, provide technical assistance to team members, and build/sustain strong relationships with peers and customers.
