Full-Time Programmer Analyst
Job Description
Elmira College is a private liberal arts College located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Seeking innovative professionals from diverse backgrounds to fill the position of Programmer Analyst to join the Information Technology team.
The Programmer Analyst is responsible for the development, integration, and support of the enterprise applications used at the college. The Programmer Analyst will also work closely with the User Services team to ensure that day-to-day support tickets assigned to the Enterprise Services team are resolved in a timely fashion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the oversight and management of all enterprise applications;
- Assist in the management of integrations between all information systems;
- Assist in the automation of business processes to improve workflow, ensure integrity of data, and reduce manual labor;
- Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of the College’s identity management and authentication infrastructure;
- Gather requirements and get input from Departments outside of IT in support of Enterprise projects, reports, and business process improvement;
- Develop and modify reports for all departments as needed;
- Develop and modify technical documents as appropriate;
- Provide day-to-day support for Enterprise Services related tickets.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience required;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred;
- Experience with Data Analytics and Reporting;
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming languages such as: .NET, C#, Python;
- Database experience with Microsoft SQL, or comparable databases;
- Business Process Improvement experience is a plus;
- Ability to write code that is maintainable and up to date with current standards;
- Possesses the ability and willingness to learn new languages and technologies;
- Strives to keep up to date with current programming and technology trends;
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with IT staff, and other non-technical college staff.

BASIS OF PAY: Salary, Exempt

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with frequent public contact and interruptions. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; sitting for extended periods of time; to occasionally bend, kneel, reach, twist and lift; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
