Summary of Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and enhances career and professional development instruction activities, programs, curricula and resource materials. Provides career and professional development coaching to students.
Essential Functions
- Facilitates career and professional development programs and activities using educational methodologies and technologies to support learner needs and identifies co-curricular opportunities to support career planning in the classroom.
- Designs and develops engaging, effective learning experiences for students, which may be face-to-face, online and/or hybrid.
- Provides individual coaching to students, through various mediums, in career exploration, resume development, interviewing skills, career readiness and decision making, and job search techniques.
- Edits, reviews, and updates existing resources and instructional materials.
- Collaborates on the collection, organization, interpretation, and dissemination of data to identify career and professional development program needs and enhance effectiveness.
- Collaborates with leadership regarding career and professional development curricula and programming.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in related field by hire date
Minimum Experience
Two (2) years of experience in student coaching, curriculum development or related field
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills with an emphasis on education and training for a variety of audiences
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute programs and events
- Ability to organize information/tasks in an efficient manner, meet established deadlines, and be flexible working in a changing work environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and interact effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the community
- Knowledge of best practices in instructional strategies in a face-to-face, online, and hybrid learning environment
Pay Info
Range beginning point $43,000/yr, adjusted based on qualifications
