Full-Time Program Manager, DEI

Job Description

BCT Partners is looking for great candidates to support our growing Corporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practice.  We have recently been awarded a contract with a major pharmaceutical company to standup a Supplier Diversity (SD) – Project Management Office (PMO).  This PMO will be responsible for translating their aggressive DEI spend goals into action.  In order to achieve these goals, the SD PMO will be working strategically with procurement leaders and internal customers across the company to identify opportunities, develop strategies, build capacity and tools, and to monitor the progress against key performance measure.  In particular, BCT is looking for a strong, capable, and proven Program Manager that has the experience of moving programs from ideas to reality, including (1) offering strategic leadership for the implementation; (2) managing the moving parts associated to this initiative (e.g. developing workstreams, identifying tasks, managing activities) and coordinating with stakeholders; (3) establishing governance for this work and effectively communicating with partners;  (4) assisting BCT in growing our team to serve this customer; and (5) providing hands-on consultation including facilitating meetings, designing and developing presentations, executing plans, drafting documents, etc.  We believe that right candidate will have experience working for a large corporate consulting firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate strategy, brainstorming, ideation, and other planning sessions with stakeholders representing different levels, departments, functions, roles and responsibilities within the client’s organization.
  • Establish, maintain, and cultivate relationships with client and external partners; be a trusted advisor and business partner, leveraging business acumen to provide strategic insights, critical thinking and mindful recommendations to stakeholders, often in place of or on behalf of the  director.
  • Contribute to the effective execution of workplans, team deliverables and assignments being completed on time and within budget in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Leverage business acumen and expertise to effectively gather and incorporate team and stakeholder insights into PowerPoint presentations, the project’s primary mode of communication.
  • Serve as BCT’s representative with client and partner organizations, as needed.
Ideal Qualifications:
  • 7 to 10 years professional experience in non-technical roles that required overseeing projects, managing stakeholder engagement, leveraging data analysis and evaluation, and generating reports; strong organizational, administrative and team coordination skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • 5 years’ consultancy experience as a strategic advisor to clients, executives and stakeholders; proven experience advising clients and translating their needs into action.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both spoken and in writing); strong public speaking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to network, collaborate and build relationships with clients, partners, staff, remote colleagues and others.
  • Proven self-starter and critical thinker who can effectively navigate ambiguity.
  • Able to exercise sound judgment, ask questions and be open to the input and decisions of others; both independently and collaboratively lead, solve problems, make decisions and drive the work to completion.
  • Ability to develop templates and tools to provide guidance and support to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Computer, internet and general proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; advance proficiency in Microsoft Project and in PowerPoint to develop professional presentations is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree desired; Master’s degree is a plus, but not required.
