InterPride is an international organization that empowers Pride organizers by coordinating with global partners who share our values. Achieving legal, social, and cultural equity for SOGIESC communities through the Pride movement is the root of our existence.
Our mission is:
- To contribute to the visibility and inclusion of diverse sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristic (SOGIESC) communities.
- To connect, grow, and support Pride Platforms and networks globally.
- To assist the Pride movement in designing and conducting human rights events that deconstruct myths, lies, and prejudices surrounding SOGIESC realities.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Manager will collaborate with the Board of Directors, Project Managers, consultants, and membership of InterPride to ensure that the organization’s operations, fundraising, marketing, communications, human resources, technology, and event strategies are effectively streamlined, and implemented. The position reports to the Co-Presidents..
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organizational Strategy and Leadership
- Lead day-to-day operations (including programming, fundraising, events, communications, and management), with accountability for the success of the organization
- Supervise the performance of duties by employees, contractors, and consultants.
- Work with the Board and Co-Presidents for the implementation of the organization’s Strategic Plan.
Board of Directors
- Understand the differing roles of membership, Board of Directors, and Project Managers, and create an environment that recognizes the importance of each of these segments of InterPride.
- Foster and develop a healthy internal culture; serve as an example for inclusive leadership and champion a safe working space.
- Work with the board to develop and maintain policies and procedures.
- Negotiate contracts for the Co-Presidents approval.
- Ensure proper execution of contracts.
- Assist with the implementation and overview of the budget with the treasurer, bookkeeper and Co-Presidents.
Board Engagement
- Assists the Co-Presidents to carry out the functions of the Board of Directors.
- Implement Board policies, goals, and objectives in conjunction with the Co-Presidents, and Board of Directors in alignment with governance and bylaws.
- Provide regular reports to the Board and attend Board meetings.
- Attend committee meetings and other meetings as required as an” ex officio” member.
External Presence and Financial Management
- Works with the PR firm to market and brand the organization to heighten its profile and influence and raise funds to support its mission.
- Partner with the Board and contractors to oversee and maintain a plan to diversify revenue streams. Supervise and maintain successful relationships with various funders, including corporate, foundation, government, and individual major gift prospects.
- Assist with the fiscal management and operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a favorable financial position.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- At least four years of experience in business and/or nonprofit/management.
- Ability to work independently.
- An unwavering commitment to SOGIESC, LGBTQIA+ issues, anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion, with an ability to foster an inclusive and respectful workplace.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English. Multilingual fluency preferred, particularly in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French.
- Managerial and financial skills with experience leading operational planning and budgeting.
- Understanding fund development for a non-profit organization.
- Written and Strong Communication Skills, with experience communicating effectively in one-on-one and large group settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain a collegial and positive work environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Agile in working with individuals from around the globe.
- Proficiency in various productivity and communication platforms, online services, and databases, such as Microsoft Office, G-Suite, Dropbox, Eventbrite (or similar).
- Must have or be able to obtain legal US work authorization.
WORK CONDITIONS:
- This is a remote work position with occasional travel required.
- During the execution of InterPride events (such as conferences, partner, and sponsor locations), the Managing Director will be expected to be onsite to carry out duties of the position.
- Some work during holiday periods may be required. (Due to the global nature of the organization.)
- Regular attendance at online organizational meetings, occasional in-person meetings, and events will also be required, including evening and weekend meetings.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
