POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Manager will be an essential member of the Promise Partnership team helping us to ensure that 100% of students in two communities have their basic needs met and that 100% of students graduate with a career plan. To help us reach this ambitious goal, the Program Manager will compile and organize information on promising strategies, locally research options for implementation, pull relevant partners together, and help to coordinate the launch of new strategies. This position will also help to administer a scholarship program for first generation college students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Research promising strategies to enable our 100% graduation and basic needs goals, including talking to partners in other cities and states about their work
  2. Compile, organize and summarize lessons learned
  3. Contribute to proposals and pitches to raise funds to support strategies
  4. Convene local partners to discuss strategies, find the appropriate leads to implement the strategy, and ensure infrastructure is in place to support the work
  5. Ensure strategies are set up to succeed by establishing clear results, data collection and monitoring processes and role clarity
  6. Develop deep understanding of local efforts to know when a new strategy is warranted, or if existing work needs to be better aligned and/or refined for more impact.
  7. Work with scholarship recipients 1:1 and their colleges to provide holistic advising and connect them to the resources needed to successfully complete and graduate.

BENEFITS

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with complete benefits. $41,300-58,600. Wage commensurate with experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of applicable experience program design, launch and management in the social sector
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with external partners to achieve a shared goal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite, data visualization, and other project management software.
  • An understanding of the culture and realities of historically marginalized communities in the Salt Lake region.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in co-design of strategies with those with lived experience (I.e. Community Based Participatory Research, Liberatory Design, conducting focus groups etc.)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish; or English and another language.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to perform the essential functions of this position. The employee is regularly required to communicate clearly in oral and written formats and must be able to transcribe, read extensively, and prepare and analyze data and figures. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work; however, there will be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, use of office equipment, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
