Full-Time Program Manager

This position will focus on program development and execution, high-level partnership building and team supervision. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and have strong community relations skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With support from regional and national staff, work to increase The Phoenix’s reach within various communities in the Colorado Springs area, particularly military and veterans’ groups
  • Oversee general daily administrative needs and tasks of the Colorado Springs chapter and monitor program, facility, and equipment standards
  • Build partnerships with relevant local organizations
  • Support a strong base of volunteers who will lead the majority of Phoenix events
  • Organize local fundraising efforts, including private donations, grants, peer-to-peer fundraising, corporate sponsorships, and capital campaigns
  • Assist with the online presence of the chapter
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Work evening and weekend hours as needed and travel to Denver facility roughly twice a month

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people from all walks of life
  • Program management and supervisory experience
  • Community relation skills and willingness to initiate introductions with potential partners
  • Ability to build rapport with an established team
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and integrity
  • Exceptional organizational, administrative, and time management skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to pivot quickly
  • Proficiency with technology

 

PREFERENCES

  • Lived experience as a peer in recovery
  • Experience with budgets
  • Professional background working with nonprofits and/or recovery organizations
  • Familiarity working with diverse populations
  • Experience coaching, instructing, or leading events or classes such as socials, runs, mountain bike rides, CrossFit, or yoga
  • Certifications in relevant athletic disciplines (CF-L1, L2, or L3; NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or ACE Personal Trainer; AMGA-CWI, SPI, or Rock Guide; IMBA-L1; YT-200, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fluency in two or more languages
