The Program Coordinator provides logistical, research, and programmatic support for the projects within the Education Program area. Job Description
- Reporting to the Program Director of Education & the Development of Knowledge, providing administrative support.
- Interacts regularly with committee members, Academy members, partner organizations, program staff, and other Academy departments.
- Assist Program Director with the development of the program area.
- Works with the Events department for conferences, focus groups, and other events.
- Manage project budgets and track expenditures/transactions.
- Coordinate production, processing, and distribution of documents and project publications.
- Maintain and update program-related tracking reports and project summaries.
- Assist with conducting web-related background research for projects and reports.
- Draft, edit and proofread concept papers, reports, remarks, correspondence, presidential briefings.
- Track relevant policy research and legislation underway.
- Support the program area’s public relations and outreach activities.
- Work closely with development office to manage grants and track schedules for grant reporting.
- Assist with drafting and editing grant applications.
- Assemble travel materials and briefing books for Academy staff
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One to three years of experience required, ideally in a non-profit office, academic environment, or research institute.
- Some knowledge of education policy and/or research (k-12 or higher education) a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word), Adobe Acrobat, various document processing and database applications, and social media.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to comfortably and professionally interface with constituents.
- Experience with budget-tracking and management a plus
