What is a Corporate Program Specialist?

Girl Scouts of Colorado is looking for a Corporate Program Specialist to provide assistance in statewide program development and delivery, as well as logistical support for funded Girl Scout programs and events. This position will function as a member of the fund development team under the Corporate Relations Program Manager to ensure that Girl Scouts of Colorado activates upon its corporate partnerships to provide maximum benefit to our girls and value to our partners.

 

**It is desired that this Membership Specialist resides within (or very close proximity to) Metro Denver, Colorado, USA. If an applicant lives outside of Metro Denver, they must be willing to regularly travel for in-person events in the Denver Area.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Corporate Relations Program Manager in program development, pre-event logistics, event execution, post-event feedback and data reporting for corporate partners.
  • Deliver Girl Scout programs in-person and virtually for Girl Scouts and adult members in varying regional areas in and out of the Denver-Metro.
  • Create materials, such as videos or activities, to aid in facilitation of programming.
  • Adapt programming to meet the needs of Girl Scouts and adult members.
  • Assist in the recruitment of Girl Scouts through programming and events.
  • Provide post-event data and feedback gathered from attendees.
  • Act as secondary point of contact for corporate program partners before, during, and after program execution, in coordination with the Corporate Relations Program Manager.
  • Help in preparing data for reporting back to corporate and foundation funders.
  • Support fund development department on fundraising event execution.

 

PRIMARY CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Corporate Relations Program Manager and greater Program and Membership Department to coordinate a unified direction of all programming through integration and implementation of long- and short-term goals, objectives, and action plans.
  • Collaborate with statewide teams on program opportunities.
  • Support the efforts and commitments of Girl Scouts of Colorado in the area of pluralism and diversity throughout the organization and within each community.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments to support membership.
  • Embrace diversity and inclusiveness by contributing to positive relationships between diverse racial, ethnic, and social groups in the Council as a whole and between employees and volunteers.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Two years’ experience in event management and/or program delivery or in a related field such as project management, or community relations.
  • Two years of customer service experience desirable.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Knowledge of Girl Scout program and philosophy, or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively while remaining flexible.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Track record of successful event execution desired.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with peers, volunteers, and outside partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage details and make decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must pass a criminal background check acceptable to GSCO standards.
  • Night and weekend availability is required.

  • Work successfully in a team environment.
  • Respect the confidential nature of all information pertaining to staff, volunteers, and Girl Scouts.

Salary

  • This position pays a range of $20.67-$23.56 per hour, plus benefits (including mileage reimbursement)
