We are looking for a Production Supervisor, to lead our Byhalia, MS, 2nd shift, (3:00pm – 11:30pm) Rockfon, Production Team. Must be willing and able to work any shift based on business needs. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall safety and effectiveness of their respective shift and communication and collaboration within the production department to secure optimum output from the production unit.

Your future team:

In this role you will lead the 3rd shift Production team. It is the responsibility of the Production Supervisor to contribute and produce quality mineral fiber ceiling tile within the Company’s parameters of Time Efficiency, material efficiency, quality and desired output.

What you bring:

The Production Supervisor directs the work of all operations during the shift; thus he/she needs to ensure that employees under his/her direction are trained for the job they are given.
Must have a complete understanding of Lock Out Tag Out procedures and he/she must ensure that all operators do so as well, before instructing them to lockout any piece of equipment.
The Production Supervisor ensures that all appropriate safety gear is always worn by crewmembers as per company policy.
The Production Supervisor ensures a clean and tidy workplace for efficient and safe operations. The production Lead ensures that all garbage and recyclables are disposed of correctly.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for packaging and distribution to the Warehouse of all products coming off the Rockfon line. He/she directs operations in quality checks that may have reached the packaging line.
The Production Supervisor ensures the optimal running of the RFN working areas and that correct labels are on all products. He/she is responsible for all visible quality checks.
Responsible for their daily production operation, and the development of the area of responsibility.
Responsible for the execution the production schedule.
Participates in development of routines and tools required in order to ensure that the area of responsibility is operated efficiently based on the correct data.
Presents proposals for improvements of tools and methods.
Inspires employees in such a way that they contribute to a continuous development of tools and methods.
Ensures that the area of responsibility contributes to a positive development of Employees, Machinery and Equipment as well as participates in the work regarding Investment requests.

What you will be doing:

Responsible for their daily production operation, and the development of the area of responsibility.
Responsible for the execution the production schedule.
Participates in development of routines and tools required in order to ensure that the area of responsibility is operated efficiently based on the correct data.
Presents proposals for improvements of tools and methods.
Inspires employees in such a way that they contribute to a continuous development of tools and methods.

Registration / Reporting

Responsible for Continuous improvement and development of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Daily reporting of KPI’s to production management.
Ensuring that maintenance is informed about all relevant defects.

Employees

Responsible for employees hired within the area of responsibility being instructed and trained in such a way that they can competently perform the job they are hired for in a safe and reliable way, and that employees’ hired at any time work according to RX-US policies and procedures as well as applicable legislative and regulatory laws.

Management

Manages the area of responsibility according to applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules and Regulations and Security Guidelines and ensures a continuous development and optimization of the area of responsibility, including regular feedback to employees. Responsible for Performance Reviews being held within the set time frame as well as according to guidelines.
Follow-up on absenteeism and implementation of actions in order to reduce absenteeism.

Work Environment & Conditions:

Able to stand/walk on concrete floors for the duration, of your shift.
Some lifting, bending, stooping, walking up/downstairs, fast pace walking for some distance.
The ability to lift 60 pounds and 120 pounds with another person.
