Job Title: Production Supervisor

 

Location: We are seeking a Production Supervisor position based in our Milton location to join the Production team.

 

This position offers a continental rotating shift schedule. 12 hour shifts rotate from day to night weekly.

You must be able and willing to work both day and night shifts.

  • 12 hour shifts are (days and nights) 8:00 – 8:00

Your future team:

  • You will become part of the Production Team. A team of 15 production hourly employees will report to the Production Supervisor.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Ensures their shift employees are familiar with, and working according to, all health and safety requirements applicable around responsibility, and working towards a continuous improvement of health and safety requirements.
  • Responsible for machinery and equipment operating in a safe and reliable manner at any time.
  • Responsible for employees hired within the area of responsibility being familiar with and working according to all policies and procedures.
  • Checks and comments on scheduled KPI reporting concerning the efficiency of the production
  • Coordinates tasks regarding cooperation with other departments in such a way that it contributes to the overall efficiency of the department
  • Daily follow-up of production schedule
  • Daily follow-up of quality issues in cooperation with Supervisor/Process Support as well as QC department.

 

What you bring:

  • 2 to 5 years’ production supervisor experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant.
  • University or technical College graduate,
  • Sound understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Practical supervisory experience in a continuous flow automated production environment.
  • Good people development and training skills,
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel)
  • Drive, commitment, self-motivation and high energy. Ability to work under pressure,
  • Good communication and supervisory skills,
  • Practical knowledge of insulation manufacturing process.
  • Experience in Union environment.
  • Be able to work on a 4 crew operation
